Black Dahlias, watercolor on paper, 23 x 31 cm, 2014

Pär Strömberg (Örebro 1972) is an internationally acclaimed painter. Studied at Gerrit Rietveld Akademie in Amsterdam and the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. After almost 15 years on the international art scene, Strömberg has moved back to Sweden and will show work from the past 4-5 years, drawings, paintings and graphic art at his small home studio in Sollentuna. The exhibition coincides and is part of Sollentuna Konstronda and Stockholm Art Week. Strömberg is represented by Ron Mandos Gallery in Amsterdam and PAPER Gallery in Manchester. His work is collected all over the world from private to museal collections. 4 time nominated for the Dutch Royal Painting Prize and winner of Wim Izaks Paintings prize in The Netherlands.

This small home exhibition will introduce Strömbergs work to a, rather new, Swedish audience. Having no representation in Sweden, the occasions of seeing his work is limited. Known for his large scaled landscape paintings, this show will, on the contrary, focus on smaller scaled work (oils and watercolors), editions and drawings. The theme will be recognizable but some new surprises will occur. Most works are for sale.
